This little book, which some may find slightly risible in the context of contemporary mores, is one of the first results. Emphasis is on proper mind training and discipline without which no true magic fortunne be done. An elementary exposition and not particularly esoteric.

Dion Fortune herself also published a series of mystical meditations upon the Collects of the Anglican church. Her first published novel under her pen name, this is an interesting study in the abuses of magic for personal gain by the dark practitioner Lucas, initially by the use of hypnosis to gain power over Veronica to further his own magical ambitions.
